Woo it’s been quite a week. Starting off the week sick really makes for a slow start but after I started feeling 100% on Tuesday things really kicked in to gear. Last night we had to take Axel to the vet, he needed his Rabies shot but we also have noticed he’s forming these little bumps on his back. After googling what it could be, which is never a good idea by the way, I was so scared it was going to be something horrible that I couldn’t really focus at work. Thankfully, they are nothing serious. Apparently dogs can get something like what our zits are, in their skin follicles. They aren’t harmful or painful they only time they can be a problem is if they hit it and it burst opens. So all is good and he is back to being his ornery self.
This week I started New Rules of Lifting for Women, I’ve been wanting to get on a more rigid lifting plan and found the book while I was packing up my house. I ordered the book probably about a year ago but never started the workouts. I did Workout A in Stage 1 on Tuesday night and I am definitely still feeling it tonight. I think I’m really going to like this program and I’ll be posting my updates as I progress through the workouts! I’m also still training for the half marathon, but unfortunately only got one run in this week. I ran 3.5 miles in a little over 33 and a half minutes. It felt really good especially after working some long hours these past couple days.
Today while I was doing my daily blog reading, Julie at pbfingers.com linked to another blogger who is starting a 28 day blog challenge. Basically you start tomorrow, and for the whole month of February you work on whatever you want to improve on, on your blog. I thought this would be a great idea and among some other changes I want to make, set two goals for the month. My first is to make it a habit to post everyday. Sometimes I get just lazy and don’t post and I want to get better about that, and my second goal is to start using my real digital camera instead of my Iphone for pictures all the time. If you are interested in joining, check out Katy’s page or click the link to go directly to the challenge!
